Motorcycle Repair: front fork seal, dyna low rider, drain bolt

Question
i have a 2006 dyna low rider with 49mm tubes on the front forks i would like step by step instructions on how to change the fork seals the bad one is on the right side and how much fork oil it takes thank you

Answer
First you need to jack up the bike and remove the fender, brake caliber, axle and wheel. Slide the fork dust shield out of the way and remove the fork drain bolt and drain the fork. On hte underside of the fork you will find a allen hed bolt. Remove it. Remove hte clip betweent he upper tube and the lower tube. remove the top cap. Slide the lower off the upper tube. It will be a little tight. Once you have it off, remove the seal and install the new one and slide it back together. Be careful not to damage the seal when sliding it together. Put is all together in reverse and put in 9.2 ozs of fork oil
Good luck and happy riding
