Motorcycle Repair: Carb Sync., vacuum leaks, vacuum line

What do you hook to to Sync my 1986 Honda Shadow Carbs?
I have a Kit but don't know how to use it.

  this is just a speculation on my part, but its worth a look...

 Look over the intakes carefully , look for a small screw on each intake....most of the time this screw can be removed on each intake and your manometer will have threaded inserts to be screwed in where you took out the screws...attach a vacuum line to each insert, run the bike to full operating temp, and adjust each carb so that they are pulling the same amount of vacuum....

 To get a good sync..it is important to make sure that both carbs are cleaned and functioning properly and also that you do not have any vacuum leaks or cracked manifolds...
