Motorcycle Repair: gl1100 carb, overflow check, bench test

I just got bike,cleaned tank,carbs,new gas & filter. Starts easy,but#4 cyl pouring gas out exhaust.Good fire,compression.Recleaned carbs,checked floats & seats.Carbs were rebuilt,new kits & then sat for 2 years.Hope you can help?

It does sound that there is a problem with the float on that cylinder.  Does gas also come out of the carb overflow?  Check that the carb overflow is clear.  If a needle valve kit was put in, make sure the aluminum washer was put in under the fuel supply nut, also that the needle valve does indeed shut of the gas.  ALways bench test before putting them back on the bike.  Good luck,  Jan
