Motorcycle Repair: Clutch on 2008 sportster, clutch action, clutch lever

I think that I have to adjust the clutch on my sportster - Can you please help me and inform me - When I go to start up my bike and it is in gear when i start it it tries to move forward like the clutch is catching or the clutch is not enegaged all the way - What do i need to do?

If the clutch lever has more than a 1/8 inch of play in it tightening up the cable down on the primary cover should do it. If not then you'll need to remove the plug over the cluth hub on the primary cover and loosen the lock nut and turn the adjusting screw until you have the clutch action you want the tighten the lock nut and reinstall the plug.
