Motorcycle Repair: 1999 Harley 1200 Sportster rocker box gasket, sportster 1200, head bolts

Question
What is the process in changing rear rocker box gasket on a 1999 Sportster 1200. Any info would greatly appreciated thanks.

Answer
Remove the tank and remove the 4 allen head bolts holding the top cover on. Remove it and the center ring. Remove the 3 7/16 bolts and the two allen head bolts on the left side. Then remove the four 1/2 inch bolts. You will have to remove the two pushrods to get the rocker box out. Make sure you mark them as they are different lengths. Put it back together in reverse
