Motorcycle Repair: Front end for a 2007 Sportster, sportsters, v twin

Question
QUESTION: My wife has a 2007 1200XL Low Rider and we are wanting to make it look real "Beefy".  She likes the Exile style front ends with the super fat front tires.  What are your thoughts and suggestions for front end and how fat can we go on the front tire?  New rims are required I would also assume.
Please advise what you would do....
Thanks in advance.
J.D.

ANSWER: You can go a wide as the forks will allow. You have to keep in mind that the brake caliber has to fit and you would have to get a different fender. You can still use the hub and install a wider rim, but you would have to respoke the wheel. If you dont have spokes, then you would have to buy a wider rim for the tire you want.
What width tire are you wanting?

QUESTION: The rear tire is 150/80B16 71H and the front is 100/90-19 57H.  I would like
to at least match the tire size on the back.  I also considered a wide glide
front end, but they still seem a bit wimpy looking.  I really like the looks of
the Fat Boy front end but not sure if that can be put on a Sportster or not.
Would a front end like that fit on the Sprtster frame, and will the tire hit the
frame when it is fully compressed during a riding situation?

What would you recommend we do?

Answer
About the biggest tire you will fit is a 130/90-19 Companies do make 41 MM front ends for sportsters, which is bigger than a wide glide. If you look at tedds v-twin manufacturing catalog online you can see the 41 MM front ends
Good luck and happy riding
