im changing the primary gasket on 84 sportster,how do i remove the cover,then replace the gasket?

Answer
First you need to drain the primary oil. Next, adjust clutch cable so there is some slack in it. Remove the bolts holding the cover on and remove the cover. Once the cover is back on, adjust the clutch cable and add your primary oil
