RV Repair: Plumbing, ford shasta, pex tubing

Question
What would be the approximate cost to completely redo all major plumbing in a 1986 Ford Shasta, and how much work would be involved? When I hooked up the water to the RV the water ran from every direction.

Answer
Verna,
If none of the faucets, water heater, toilet, etc., are damaged and it's just the lines supplying water to everything then you can expect to spend about $200-300 for the Pex tubing and the fittings you will need. It can be a time consuming job taking as long as 8-10 hours. With the Pex tubing and Flair-it fittings you wont need any special tools to install it. If the faucets, ball valve in the toilet, water heater, etc., are damaged you can expect to spend another $750 or so to replace all of them.  It sounds like the unit may have not been winterized and everything froze, which occurs more often than you would think.  If we repaired it in our shop you would be looking at an additional $700 or so in labor so you can save quite a bit if you decide to tackle this job yourself.  Good luck.
