Motorcycle Repair: Dead start, lake elsinore ca, degree weather

Question
QUESTION: I was riding all day in 90 degree weather and for about 30 minutes in 100+ degree( Lake Elsinore,Ca). It was around 4:30 at around 100 degrees and at a stop light when the light turned green and I started to twist the throttle the bike just die. I rolled it off the street and stopped. There was no power to the console(dash)no oil light, mileage or the key light on. I then turn the ignition off and then turn it back on and noticed the oil and key light were flickering. I turned the ignition off for 2 to 3 minutes and turned the ignition back on and everything lit up normally started it up and rode off the bike ran perfect until later.. Around 7:45pm  at 105 degrees (Coachella Valley in Ca) the same thing happened at another stop but this time there was no light flickering waited a couple of minutes and started the bike right up like normal and made it home (hew! close call).  I'm freakin out man. What ya think ?
Thanks,
Papa roach

Answer
You have a short in the main wiring. Possibly in the key switch. About the only thing you can do is try to make it do it agiain so you can see if you have power at the ignition switch. You can also check the wires at the switch to make sure they are tight.
Good luck and happy riding
