QuestionHey,
Off the bat, thanks a ton for even taking time to read
this. I'll try to make it short and to the point.
Speedometer is acting funny. When I accelerate, the needle
seems to rise slower than I am actually going. When I
deccelerate, the needle seems to fall slower than I am
stopping. I haven't done anything new to the bike.
Make: Honda
Year: 1982
Model: CM450C
Condition: Garaged for 20 years by previous owner,
purchased last summer with only 5K on it. Put on another
4K. Hadn't given me any trouble before this.
AnswerSppedo's and tacho's of a certain age can get slow to respond. The fluid in the coupling gets old and causes the damping to increase. Short of finding a replacement speedometer I don't think you'll be able to fix this, unless you send it out for reapir to a specialist. Good luck, Jan
