Motorcycle Repair: Ultra Classic, classic cruise, cruise control

Question
Cruise control worked intermittantly for a while, now it will not set at all. the cruise light on the panel will not even come on. Any Ideas?
I figured it may be shorted wire somewhere, it started after i had service about a year ago.

If the light doesnt come on and it doestn work then you have a short. What you are going to have to do is get a test light and follow the power from the fuse to the switch and then to the cruise control. SInce the light does not come on, then the break is most likely between the fuse and the light.
