Motorcycle Repair: 2009 road glide exhaust upgrades, stock harley, rear cylinder

Question
QUESTION: To change exhaust to non stock with all the new electronics (throttle, rear cylinder deactivation, cruise control, ABS) I know that the ECM has to be dealt with. Can this be accomplished without effecting these new systems?

ANSWER: Yes, what would need to be done is remapp the ECM

QUESTION: How do you remapp or who can do that? I have heard that an aftermarket ECM should be used, to make the system a full time closed loop, insteade of the way the stock Harley system is set up. Is there an aftermarket ECM that will keep all the new elctronic systems working, like throttle an rear cylinder deactivation?

Answer
What I do is connect tot he bike with a computer and change the settings on the ECM without adding anything. Harley can remapp, but they do it a little different. What they do is a download to your ECM. If you want to add a unit the power commander is about the best, but to get it set correctly, you would still need to go to a shop so the bike can be dynoed
