Motorcycle Repair: 1985 honda 110 3 wheeler clutch, honda 110, spanner nut

Question
ok my clutch is bad and i would like to rebuild it, would that be a big job. thank you Karen

Answer
Karen, it's not a real tough job but it will take some special tools.  There's spanner socket you'll need to make.  There's a cover in the center of the clutch housing that will have to be removed.  Under that cover you will find a spanner nut to remove.  Once that's off, you'll be able to pull the clutch housing.  Once it's off, there's a large snap ring that will have to be removed but be sure to clamp it in a vice or something because there's spring pressure that will make it want to fly apart.  You will also have to use a vice or something to compress it so you can get the assembly back together.  It might be something you to take it to a shop to get fixed but if you are determined to try. I'm sure you'll get through it.  I'll do what I can to help you.
