Motorcycle Repair: STARTING YOUR MOTORCYCLE PROPERLY....., kawasaki kz 650, hard time

Question
SO, I HAVE A 1977 KAWASAKI KZ 650 4 CYL.  MY QUESTION IS, WHAT IS THE
BEST WAY TO START IT BECAUSE I SEEM TO HAVE A DIFFICULT TIME DOING
SO.....I ALWAYS SEEM TO FLOOD IT OUT WANTING TO APPLY THE CHOKE
BECAUSE IT DOESN'T START RIGHT AWAY.....ABOUT A YEAR AGO I HAD TAKEN
IT TO KAWASAKI AND HAD THEM RUN THROUGH IT, MAKING SURE
EVERYTHING WAS IN WORKING ORDER......THEY ASSURED ME EVERYTHING
WAS IN WORKING ORDER AND IN GREAT CONDITION......THIS BIKE HAS UNDER
7000 MILES ON IT WHEN IS RUNNING SOUNDS GREAT, I JUST HAVE A HARD
TIME GETTING IT TO START.....

Answer
Full choke, no throttle hit the starter, the enrichenment circuit(choke) should take over and it should start at a slightly high idle....now, if it has a pipe, intake isn't stock, etc... then there could be issues with the pilot circuit being overly lean, this would cause it to require a customized starting process, maybe a full choke, slight throttle, etc.... you need to caress it , like a woman, and feel what it wants from you to fire regularly !
