Motorcycle Repair: Adjust clutch on 2007 883 sporster, fifth gear, clutch

I tried to adjust my clutch. It seemed to work except when i am in fifth gear, going about 40 and i try to accelerate, then it starts to slip. What do i do?

Loosen the adjuster onthe cable so you have some slack in it. Open the derby cover on the primary and you will see the adjuster on the clutch. Adjust the bolt in the center of the clutch so it just bottoms out and then back it out about 1/8 of a turn. Now go back to the cable and adjust it so you have about 1/8 inch play in the lever andits set
