I just bought a Honda shadow and I'm looking to remove the ignition switch in order to have a key cut please explain how I can do this..

I'm guessing that you lost the original key or it didn't come with the bike. I do not recommend taking apart motorcycle ignition switches - it is highly unlikely that a locksmith has any experience on them and would more likely do irreparable damage to it. You can try contacting your local Honda dealer and ask them to either help you get a replacement by searching the VIN number of your bike, or have them quote you a price for a new switch with keys. The new switch is likely to be very expensive, though, so you might want to check with local bike wreckers instead for a used one.
