Motorcycle Repair: Honda Shadow 1986 vt700, honda shadow 1986, honda shadow vt700

My 1986 Honda Shadow VT700 doesn't run on the front cylinder until the rear cylinder warms some, then it run perfect. I had carbs.worked on its still spits & sputters until it warms up some. After carbs. work I rode 50 miles & it didn't miss a beat. It runs perfect when its warm. 28000 miles on it. Any suggestions? Thank very much.

When was the carb work done ? Why was it done ? Done by a shop ? Have you returned to them with this issue ?
Did this bike sit for a long time ? Has the gas been replaced in the tank or is it old ? Does the bike have an aftermarket pipe or is it stock ? Sounds like a lean condition... check the operation of the choke assy. at the front carb, is it hooked up right ? It might not be working correctly.
