Question
QUESTION: The front cylinder on the engine is missing. I already replaced the front coil but no help. What next?

ANSWER: Jeff, I need more info before I can help you. How many miles are on the bike? Why did you replace the coil? Did the problem start gradually or did it suddenly appear one day? What other components have you replaced and what adjustments have you made?

The more info you can give me about the problem, the better I can try to help you find the solution.

QUESTION: We bought the bike used. The previous owner added a hypercharger but did not jet the carbs so we jetted the carbs and added baffles after we bought it. Now the front cylinder only gets a very light yellow fire but the back is a solid blue. The bike has 7000 miles on it. I have made no other adjustments

Answer
Thanks, Jeff! I'm assuming you rejetted the carbs after the baffles were added to the exhaust and not before, is that correct? If so, did you synchronise the carbs afterwards?

As for the "light yellow" and "solid blue", I'm guessing you're referring to the colour of the spark at the plugs. Light yellow would mean a weak spark, which would explain why you changed the coil. However, did you try replacing the spark plug and spark plug cable, too? If either one is faulty it will weaken the spark at the electrode. There's a slim chance that the new coil is faulty, too... try swapping it with the other coil and see if the problem follows it to the rear cylinder. If that doesn't work and you are certain that the front coil is properly secured and wired up, you may need to replace the ignition box.
