Motorcycle Repair: no lights or power to starter, battery connections, dash lights

I have a 1994 flhtcu. I was riding everything was fine. I stopped turned it off and it would not start back. No headlights,passing lights,or tail lights. Starter will not even click. I do have dash lights and brake lights.

Answer
Check to make sure your battery connections are clean and tight, especially the ground. Starting at the hot wire at the battery, with a test light, follow the power and test on both sides of the fuses to make sure you have power. Keep following the power and you will either find a short or broken wire
