Motorcycle Repair: v-65 sabre trans lockup, honda shop, shift lever

this problem is bad.i get stuck in a gear,and cannot shift. after my bike cools down it will shift.i currently have it at the honda shop.i'm afaid i'm going to get ripped off.i'm in great need of some advise.                thanks

Eric, it sounds like the shift drum is sticking.  You might want to trying oiling or greasing the pivot point on the shift lever.  When those get dry, it greatly increases the resistance and can make it feel like the transmission is screwing up.  I was on a trip when it started acting up and I thought the transmission was going out.  A few drops off the end of the dipstick freed things up and I got home okay.  Your problem sound more serious but it doesn't hurt to check.
