hi, i have a 1985 suzuki madura gv700 motorcycle and i am looking for a repair manual to help me do basic repair on my own anyone have any idea which book is best

The best manual is the factory manual, however, it will make reference to special factory tools that only a Suzuki dealer would have and it would not be easily understood by anyone who has not been factory trained. Clymer and Haynes are two companies that print repair manuals for the average "do it yourself" rider, but unfortunately they do not have a listing for your Madura. Your bike is one of the lesser known Suzuki models and as such there isn't a lot of printed reference material about it.
