Motorcycle Repair: Turn signals & Starter, starter solenoid, starter problem

My bike is a 1974 FXE lowrider,  The starter will stay ingaged when starting and when it,s running, plus I turn the switch to off position and it continues to run. What should I do?    Plus, The bike doesn,t have turn signals and I,m installing them, No one can tell me how the wiring is done. Thank You.

Your starter problem is either low voltage or a bad starter solenoid. Check your battery to make sure its good. Make sure the cables are clean and making good contact on both ends. If the above is ok then you need to change the solenoid.
On the turn signals, get a service manual. It will have a wiring diagram in it to follow and you shold be fine
