Motorcycle Repair: exhaust, baffles, rolling thunder

Question
I own a 2000 Electra Glide Classic which I had just purchased a set of Rolling Thunder slip ons. I still do not find the bike loud enough for my liking. I was wondering if I could run the bike with the baffles out? Would this damage anything? If it is better to leave them in would it do any good to shorten the baffles? They are 17 inches long, I have the means of taking a few inches out of the center of them and welding them back together.Thank you in advance.

Answer
You can remove the baffles for more noise, but, you will lean the bike out by doing that and you will lose some power in the midrange. that is where most people are riding.
If you shorten them you will not get mush more sound
Good luck and happy riding
