Motorcycle Repair: 2002 Sportster XL1200C, clutch cable, stock bars

QUESTION: I have a set of drag bars that I would like to place on my motorcycle. How do I change out the stock bars for the drag bars. I've never done this before, so I need as much help as possible. Thank you!

Answer
In order to install the drag bars you need to remove the controls on the old bars. On the right side, remove the two bolts from the control and slide them off. Do the same for the left, but the grip will have to be cut off. Its glued on. You would have to buy a new one. The other thing you will need to look at are the cables. If the throttle cable, idle cable, clutch cable and brake line are two long, they will have to be replaced with shorter ones.
