Motorcycle Repair: 1981 yamaha 750 virago, oil dipstick, spinning engine

Hi, is it possible to put an oil dipstick in a yamaha 750 virago? My viewing glass at the side of the engine is impossible to see in.  Thanks ken

Ken, buy a clutch cover gasket and drain the oil, pull the cover, clean the window and put it back together again.

Jamming a dipstick of unknown length into an opening that isn't designed for a dipstick could lead to a disaster, if it contacts part of spinning engine components.

There are Yamaha Virago websites/discussion groups on the web, who may have other options for you. Not my brand, so can't tell you much more.
