Motorcycle Repair: motorcycle carburetors on 1977 550 4, band clamps, intake tubes

how do i pull the carbs off so i can clean them. there does not seen like theres alot of room to move them between tha air box and intake.

You will have to remove the gas tank,
and the air box to get the carbs off.

Turn the fuel valve off,
remove the fuel lines from the tank,
lift the seat and remove the tank.

Remove the air cleaner element and
any screws holding the intake box.

Loosen the band clamps on the carbs
and disconnect the choke and throttle cables.

Lift and pull the carbs to pull them out of the rubber
intake tubes. "Armour-All" is a great lube for
these rubber parts when reinstalling.
