QUESTION: Hi Mike i did an ohms test on the stator it is around 0.1 same as the old stator the ac volts at 1,000rpm is around20 volts i also cheched the dc volts to the battery with all the lights on it is arounds 13 volts but my gauge on the bike is around 8 volts and at idle the signals will not work

ANSWER: Your stator is putting out enough volts. You should be getting around 13 to 13.5 volts at the battery when idled up. What RPM are you running at idle?

QUESTION: im getting about 13 plus volts to the battery but my volt meter is showing around 8/9 volts not enough to put the signal on

Answer
Since your stator is testing good then it can be only one of three things. Short in the wire or bad connection at the terminal for the regulator. The regulator is either bad, or the battery is bad. If you have a dead cell in th battery you will not get a good test at the battery when the bike is running
Good luck and happy riding
