HOW HARD IS THIS TO REPAIR MYSELF.

Answer
Its not that hard. You would have to pull the gas tank, rocker boxes, pushrods, head and cylinder. Depending on how many miles you have on the bike I would suggest getting it reringed. Also, I would do both at the same time, so you dont get a leak at the other cylinder in the future.
If you get a service manual it has the steps on how to pull the top end apart
