QUESTION: i can  not get my battery to charge it was a new batt followed all instrutions as far as the acid and charging was good for 3 days that same shit is my generater junk please help spring is comin and catch enough shit about it being old by weekend  bikers  than i have to get a jump in front of the bar    xlch

ANSWER: When you put the battery in the bike are you polarizing the charging system? This must be done every time the battery cables are disconnected.

QUESTION: how do i do it right

You must flash the field coils, this is done by momentarily touching a jumper wire between "BAT" terminal and "GEN" terminal on the regulator, after all wires have been properly hooked up. If this doesn't do it there are test that can be done with an amp gage to check generator output.
