Motorcycle Repair: 201 Dyna, stock pipes, head pipes

Question
I just bought a 2001 Dyna Super Glide with stock exhaust and carb. I installed a set of Vance & Hines mufflers and left the stock head pipes and crossover. The mufflers are louder than the stock pipes, which was my intention and do have baffles. Do you think I will need to re-jet or not. I haven't had a chance to ride it yet since it is still winter in WI, but it idles well. Thanks!

Answer
Generally, adding a high flow exhaust will lean the bike out a little. Your best bet is to go for a ride and check the plugs. If they are white, then you need to rejett. I would suggest adding a dyna jet kit. It will richen your bike back up and will give you more throttle responce. You can install it yourself and it has great directions
Good luck and happy riding
