Motorcycle Repair: 2006 Sportster rear brake, dot5, master cylinder

Question
I've noticed  rear break light was on and pads were dragging on disc - add some DOT5 and start bleeding system /pumping pedal and releasing bleeder valve/ but now I do not have any pressure on pedal, after 2 hrs pumping and releasing still can not bleed system, at all. Is there better way to do it?

Answer
With the light being on and the pads dragging it sounds like the brake was stuck on. Adding fluid and bleeding is not going to fix this. You may have a plugged fluid pressure return hole in the master cylinder. I suggest removing the master cylinder and rebuilding it ensuring all passages are blown clean.
