Motorcycle Repair: engine sound like valves, pressure gage, oil light

Question
I have a FLHT 1994 Electra Glide police certified edition it's engine was  was repaired about three years ago; but in those years I only used it about four times. I used the bike yesterday just about an hour and the engine started a ticking sound and when the bike warmed up the engine oil light went on. I stopped the bike and waited about 15 minutes and got it on again and the light went off and the ticking sound was still there. To me it sounds like valves but not sure. HELPPPPPPPPPPP From Puerto Rico I live to far from Harley shops so can't take her to the shop to often. Thanks

Answer
Your ticking is probably the lifters not getting enough oil. What you need to do is connect a pressure gage to the oil pump and see what pressure you are running. If your pressure is low, then you need to remove the oil pump and do an inspection.
Good luck and happy riding
