Motorcycle Repair: Harley Davidson Headlight low beam, wireing harness, low beam

QUESTION: I have a 05 softail (fatboy) I have replaced the Bulb & switch & I still have no low beam I have  real low voltage
on the power wire to the low beam so it that a short under the tank???

ANSWER: Follow the wire back to the handlebar switch. Both the high ans low beam are powered from that switch. You either have a short in the wire or a bad switch

Your short would be between the switch and the light itself. Check the plugin for the headlight to make sure its good. Also, check the plug for the low beam to make sure the you have 12 volts there. the bulb might be bad
