Motorcycle Repair: 2001 HD 1200c Sportster, umbrella valves, 1200c sportster

QUESTION: When ever I run over 65mph tbe bike spits oil out of the crankcase vent hose.  Does not happen at lower speeds (60) and under. Whats wrong and how can I repair it?  Thanks Tom

QUESTION: It is enough that my friend behind me had it all over his bikes wind shield and after we stopped to take a break there was a puddle under the bike.  He actually thought it might of been misting rain.  Thanks Tom

Answer
Your umbrella valves, located in the rocker boxes, are probably bad and need replaced. They are suppose to vent air, but over time they get hard and brittle and let oil through. You would have to pull the rocket boxes, on top of the heads, and replace the valves
