Motorcycle Repair: 1975 MT125 Elsinore, honda manual, needle jet

Question
I have a very nice 75 MT125 Elsinore with 1200 miles. My problem is it seems to be jetted too rich but I haven't been able to find a jetting chart for this old bike. I live at 5000' and ride between 5000' and 8000' elevation. Thanks for any help you may be able to offer, Pete

Answer
Sorry, for taking so long to get to this answer, but I've been out of town.

Pete, you can drop the needle jet in the slide one or two grooves and go down a couple sizes in main jets.  For example, if the carb has a 98 jet drop to a 95 and check the performance.  If still too rich, drop to a 92.  Or you could lower the float level a mm at a time until it runs the way you want.  The original Honda manual had some rejetting recommendations but I don't have one for that model.
