Motorcycle Repair: CM400 Custom Ignition System Problem, 1981 honda cm400, volt meter

Question
I'm having a frustrating ignition system issue with my 1981 Honda CM400 Custom. The bike was running fine, then one day would not start. Testing revealed no spark. I have gone through pretty much the entire ignition system. Replaced the spark plugs, coil, cdi, and stator/pulse coil, all to no avail. I've also checked/bypassed the kill switch. I'm stumped at this point. Is there something I'm missing here?

Thanks,
Bill

Answer
Sorry, for taking so long to get to this answer, but I've been out of town.

Bill, it sounds like you have replaced about everything.  You really need to be using a volt meter to track these problems down.  It's a lot less expensive than replacing the system one piece at a time.  Start my making sure there voltage at the coils and spark units.
