Motorcycle Repair: Cycle Shack baffles to replace those in SSII on an FXSTC 2009, fxstc softail custom, stock pipes

Question
Hello,
I have a 2009 FXSTC Softail custom. I changed the stock pipes for Screamin' Eagle II. The sound is STILL not the HD sound that I want- the low throbbing base note is a good one, just that the pipes are not loud enough for drivers to notice. I found Cycle Shack has baffles to replace those in the SE II, specifically for these pipes.
My questions: Have you heard this set up? Will I need to adjust anything? Will the sound be too loud? Cops are very particular here in Quebec and see us as a money grab. Do you suggest I just leave things as they are and just live with the lousy sound (which eats me up and drives me crazy wishing for what should be the H_D sound!!)?
Thank you
Stanley

Answer
When riders are looking for a certain sound they are all different. What one person like another might not.
Your best bet is to check some bikes you hear and if you find a sound you like, then ask what they are running. that way you can get what you are looking for
Good luck and happy riding

I think you missed the point I was trying to make. I have used that setup and it works quit well. The problem arises that what I think is to loud or a good sound, you might not like. That is why I said that you should check other exhausts for the sounds you are looking for. I dont know the laws where you live, so its tough for me to tell you if they are to loud for the police. As to the setup, you should be ok, just changing the baffles, but you might run just a little lean. The only way to tell for sure is to do a exhaust check and see how the motor is running
Hope this helps you
Mike
