Motorcycle Repair: 1982 CB750 carbs, air fuel ratio, cb750c

Question
Rich, Thanks for the help. I know that you don't go to 1982 but I'm hoping you still might be able to help me. I have a 1982 CB750c and it seems that it has a different carb than any other Honda. It alone has a "slow Jet". I would like to know if the standard carbs without slow jets would work on my 1982 CB750c as the motor/heads seems to be the same and if the slow jet port is a distinct feature in the CB750c carbs 1982 only or if the port was there all along (only maybe blanked off) and they just decided to jet it for the 1982 CB750c? Thanks and Regards,  Mack

Answer
Yea, you can use another year carb.  The carbs just provide the right air fuel ratio.  In that year they were trying different methods to meet the emissions requirements.  There were other chances to the intake and exhaust systems that the carbs had to be tuned for but those won't be too different.

Rich
