Motorcycle Repair: starting my harley after storage, returning home, harley

Mike, I bought my first HD in July during my leave from Iraq, The bike has 500 mi. now . I didnt properly store the bike, stabilizing fuel, etc. The bike has been covered with a bed sheet in my garage.I am returning home from Iraq in a month what should I do prior to starting?

Probably goiing to have to replace the battery and drain the old fuel. the other thing you will need to do is pull the carb and clean it out. Its probably varnished
Once you get it running I would let it warm up and change the fluids
