Motorcycle Repair: mileage, stock bike, maintenance history

Mike can you tell me what kind of mileage could i expect from a 1997 sporty 883 with a good maintenance history it has 20,000 miles on it now and runs perfect how many miles can i expect before i have to do a rebuild on the engine just a ballpark figure would be great.  thanks Mike

On the rebuild, its had to say how soont he motor will have to be rebuilt. It is going to depend on how often the fluids are changed, riding style and in general, how the bike is taken care of. I have seen bikes go to 80,000 miles before anything is done.
On the milage, you should get around 35 MPG with a stock bike, but there again, it is going to depend on how you ride it. If you have any modafications to the bike that will change the milage.
