Motorcycle Repair: 1989 1200 sportster, conversion kit, girl friend

i have 1989 1200 sportster,it's been lowered.when i ride with my girl friend i here the chain slapping the chain guard.is these normal.when i ride solo no problem.is there a belt conversion kit,to eliminate the chain.if so do know part #.thank you very much for any help.frank

You need to check your chain to make sure its not to loose. If you want to convert it to belt drive go to tedds v-twin manufacturing web site. You can look at their catalog online and they do have kits for the conversion
