Motorcycle Repair: wont start honda 400ex, fuel system, carbs

i have a 2005 honda ex starter works but wont start. i replaced battery with anew and charged it. it has gas but will not turn on. what should i do?

Have you primed the carbs before trying to start it? They need to prime for 5 minutes if the bike has sat for more than a few days.

Have you applied choke if the bike is cold?

If all this checks out then the problem can be more complex to diagnose. It could be a fuel system problem: carbs are dirty or fuel is not reaching them from the tank. Or it could be an ignition problem.
