Motorcycle Repair: Harley Lights, beam position, turn signals

I have a 1998 ultra classic and when I start the bike the headlight high beam indicator stays on whether it's on high or low beam & the headlight doesn't come on in the low beam position. The spot lights will work when the switch is in the low beam position but when I switch to high beam the spots get real dim and the head light tries to come on but it's dim to. Another problem is the turn signals, when I turn them on they will not shut off automatically but other times they do work.

On your front lights. You have a short in the lighting system. When you go to high beam the spotlights should not be on at all. What you need to do is start tracing out the wires. You probably have a bad ground.
On the turn signals, repair the lights first and see if they start working. If not then you have a bad turn signal modual
