Motorcycle Repair: Primary cover removal on 2002 Harley Sportster, harley sportster, locknut

How do you properly remove the primary cover on a 2002 Harley Sportster?

Answer
You first have to remove the clutch adjuster. remove the derby cover and you will see the adjuster under it. remove the locknut and then turn the adjuster nut out. then you need to loosen the chain adjuster under the primary. Once you have the above done then you can remove the cover
