Motorcycle Repair: 1985 Kawasaki Voyager 1300zn clutch slipping, kawasaki voyager, clutch repair

Question
I have a 1985 Kawasaki Voyager 1300, and the clutch has
started to slip under hard acceleration. Just a slight rev
where the power seems not to be there and the rpm's go up.

I assume the clutch uses the motor oil, as there is nothing
in the owners manual about fluid for the clutch.

The bike was just serviced with a new rear tire and oil
change. The slipping started after the service. I don't
know if it is related, but I give it to you as background.

Is there something I can adjust, or am I looking at clutch
repair/replacement?

Answer
It's possible the oil change affected the clutch if they used the wrong kind of oil. There are some auto oils with "energy saving" additives which can cause the clutch to slip. But, more likely, you need a new clutch. Check the slack on your clutch cable lever too.
