Motorcycle Repair: 1989 FLHS tank and dash, bikers choice, flhs

Hi Mike,
I'm wanting to update a 1989 FLHS to do away with the dash pod on the handlebars. What year of parts would interchange, or do I need to go aftermarket? Will I need a new harness also?

You would have to go aftermarket. If you are planning on changing the tank and installing a speedo in the tank there are aftermarket kits that you can buy to do this. Check Tedds v-twin and Bikers Choice they both sell them. You dont need a new harness, yo ucan use what you have. You might have to lengthen some of the wires
