Motorcycle Repair: 97 EVO, crank shaft, shaft bearing

Question
hi mike i wrote to u past spring about my 97 dyna oil pump gear broke well i found out what happened its been in the shop for three months i guess the main crank shaft bearing is press fitted in the crank case. while had another repair shop look at it he builds racing motors for Harley. the gears moved on the shaft and  race broke causing part of the race to get suck in the inner oil pump gears freezing them up and causing the gears to chip .the repair shop said it was Harley Davidson fault from the factory back them the bearing didn't have enough room to expand when the engine got hot making it tight in the lower end case causing it to walk out little on the main shaft, well so the end of it is iam having the top end and bottom end all rebuilt, now if i was going to sell it would i list it as rebuilt with no miles

Answer
It would not be possible for the bearing to move on the shaft since they are pressed in, unless the motor sprocket nut came loose. Also, that bearing and race has been used for all harley motors since 1969 and I dont recall them having a problem is 97.
Good luck and happy riding
Mike
