Motorcycle Repair: muffler for CL 175, honda scrambler, ebay

I have a 1972 K6 CL175 Honda Scrambler that needs a new exhaust and muffler.  Honda has stopped making this part.  I have found these mufflers/exhaust on EBay for the 1971 K5 CL175.  The parts diagrams I have seen show a muffler with a part number for the K6 and K7 as the same.  The part number for the K4 and K5 have a different number but the drawings look the same as the K6.  My question would be will the muffler/exhaust of the K5 also fit the K6 even though the part number is different?  Thanks.

Jordan, in most cases, an entire system from one series will fit the other. Honda changed the color or the heatshield mounting or designs, from year to year, but as long as you have a complete exhaust from a upright style motor, it should fit okay. They made few changes to these bikes over the years, from an engineering standpoint. Mostly just cosmetic changes to make them look a little different than the ones from the year before.
