Motorcycle Repair: 1982 Kawasaki CSR 250, mechanical ability, good shape

Question
I have a 1982 Kawasaki csr 250. The bike has 3300 miles. It sat for a number of years, but once I cleaned the carb, it runs like new. The problem is the clutch. Without warning (no prior noises of any kind) the clutch wnet out. It refuses to engage. The cable is in good shape. I would like to fix it myself, but have never worked on a motorcycle clutch. Is this something I should tackle? I do have some mechanical ability and tools.

Answer
When you pull the clutch in can you fell it giving or is it just stiff if so you can try taking off the side cover on the motor side where the clutch is , and try to lubricate it it might be just hung up due to corrosion. hope i have helped yu good luck

sincerely
