Motorcycle Repair: Installing 1979 Honda GL1000 front caliper covers, honda gl1000, vetter fairings

Recently, I bought a nice pair of front caliper covers with brackets for my 1979 Honda GL1000 at eBay. They were complete except for the nuts and bolts (which are no problem to replace). Although I known how they are supposed fits over the caliper, I have no idea how to mount the covers. Not wishing to screw up the front system by guessing at it, I'd prefer to know exactly how the covers are supposed to be properly mounted. Can you point me to some installation directions (as I once found online for installing Vetter fairings and bottoms) -- or simply give me a clue?  I'm pretty good with a wrenches and screw drivers, already having totally replacing my front brake system from master cylinder to calipers -- and so on.  Thanks a lot!  Fred
